The Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) is based on the Bootstrap Protocol (BOOTP) and provides a framework for passing configuration information to hosts on a TCP/IP network. The 'options' field of the DHCP message carries configuration parameters and other control information.
DHCP Relay Agent (DRA) functionality is required when DHCP clients and their associated servers are not present on the same IP network. The DHCP Relay Agent adds information regarding IP address and other parameter assignment policies to the client requests that it forwards to the server, and removes this information from the server replies that it forwards to the client.
The Net-O2 ATTEST DRA Test suite is used to verify conformance of the Device Under Test to the DHCP Relay Agent functionality as defined by RFCs 1542, 2131, 2132 and 3046.
Net-O2 also offers IPv4, IPv6 and IP routing test suites for conformance testing of Routers and Switches. Multicast test suites such as IGMP and PIM and Layer-2 bridging test suites such as RSTP, MSTP and VLAN are also available.
