The Ethernet Operational, Administration and Maintenance (OAM) specification as defined by the IEEE 802.3ah standard, provides connectivity, fault isolation, performance monitoring and troubleshooting capabilities in Carrier Ethernet networks.
Net-O2 ATTEST 802.3ah OAM test suite verifies the Operational, Administration and Maintenance (OAM) Management capabilities as defined by the IEEE 802.3 – 2005 Section 5 Clause 57. Test cases perform conformance testing for verifying the Generation, Handling and Scalability of various OAMPDUs, state machine changes for multiplexer and parser function, state machine changes for discovery and transmit process and functionality verification of OAM in active/passive mode.
