Link Aggregation allows Ethernet MAC Clients to treat a set of one or more ports as if they were a single port. The Link Aggregation Control Protocol (LACP) as defined in IEEE 802.3-2002–Clause 43, provides Automatic determination, configuration, binding, and monitoring functions between systems, in order to determine the aggregation capability of the links and the maximum level of aggregation capability achievable between a given pair of systems.
Net-O2 ATTEST LACP test cases perform conformance testing for Link aggregation group selection logic, Receive State Event machine and Transmit State Event machine functionality as defined in the Link Aggregation Control Protocol. In addition, the test cases support verification of the optional Marker Protocol.
Together with other Layer-2 bridging test suites such as STP, RSTP, MSTP, VLAN and 802.1X, Net-O2 provides one of the most comprehensive solutions for conformance testing of Ethernet Switches. Layer-3 Test suites are also available.
