The Multicast Listener Discovery (MLD) protocol is the protocol used between hosts and routers on an interface to indicate membership of IPv6 multicast groups. MLDv1 functionality is equivalent to IGMPv2 and MLDv2 functionality is equivalent to IGMPv3.
The Net-O2 ATTEST MLDv1/v2 test suite verifies the Multicast Listener Discovery as defined by the IETF RFCs 2710 and 3810. Test cases perform conformance testing for packet formats, data forwarding, group membership, multicast router, query handling, interoperation of MLDv2 router with MLDv1 router/listener and packet handling.
Net-O2 ATTEST test suite provides a comprehensive solution for other multicast protocols – IGMP, PIM-SM, PIM-DM to verify device’s compliance with the standards. IPv4 and Layer-2 bridging Test Suites are also available.
